Dia de Pavo
Why Hello There!!
So as I am writing this letter, the first snow is falling down. :( Ugh! We had such a streak without it! But oh well, what can you do? This last week was actually a really boring week.....a lot of people, because of the holiday, didn't really want to see us. But oh well!!! I can't even remember what happened this week. It was kind of long this week. But we did get in to teach a couple people!
Norberto is still going on, but we only found him at home once last week. He continues to be golden, but is kind of falling off the map. So that’s no bueno! Also with Jose. So basically he got paid this week, and just went and got drunk, bought play boys, and basically got kicked out of his trailer. So yeah, he is dropped.....which is bad. Then we still have the ongoing saga with Lorenzo and Soledad. They are doing really well. We had a lesson with them on Saturday, and they were asking us about baptism a lot. It was kind of interesting. Maybe they are getting closer to getting married! I hope so! They came to church on Sunday, which was just great! It was good to see them there! I hope they get baptized someday. It would be good for them! We also have Sajid, who is difficult to find as well! Oh well, we will keep going on en la obra! It’s crazy how fast November went by. I can't believe it’s almost December and my year mark. I haven't been out that long have I? No way!!!
So Thanksgiving was super awesome! We played football! and we made some delicious foods! Turkey, yams, cranberry sauce, potatoess, gravy, I made 2 pumpkin pies!, rolls, etc. It was so bomb! Then we took it to the Catalan's, and they had made some tortillas and what not and some Mexican drinks! Then we feasted! It was really good! They brought some non-member family so we taught them! It was so enjoyable! The Catalan's always bring us so many investigators! It’s great! They brought us one on Saturday - another Norberto that owns a local store. He is way intelligent and we taught him and he had tons of questions. But it turned out pretty good! So he is a future hopeful!
So yeah, that was basically the week. Church was good, kind of boring. but oh well! Last night we helped decorate the Absher’s house. It was pretty fun! Today, I think we might put the lights on the outside. We will see.
Well, I just want you all to know how grateful I am for all of you! I pray for each of you every day and hope your well being is good. We must all be grateful for all the things that our Father in Heaven has given us. I know I am so grateful for Family. It is the best thing that I have in this life and the only thing that makes me happy. I miss you all and love you all! Have a great first week of December!
con amor siempre,
Elder Bradley Rigby
